This is a step by step tutorial on setting up Outlook Express. Outlook users go here. For those of you that are familiar with the process, the settings you need are listed first. For those needing more assistance, follow the steps to success!

  1. User ID is your email address... the full email address.
  2. Password is whatever you were assigned
  3. Incoming mail server: mail.yourdomain.com where your domain is YOUR actual domain, ie. mail.primadesign.com etc...
  4. Outgoing mail server: mail.yourdomain.com OR you can use your ISP’s outgoing mail server... ie. mail.telus.net, mail.shaw.ca etc... ask them what it is.
  5. My outgoing mail server requires authentication must be selected.

That’s it. Need more help? Follow the instructions below:

If you are on the road a lot and want to access your email from anywhere, then you will want to use the webmail feature OR, you can set up your email on your laptop BUT set Outlook or Outlook Express to leave the mail on the server so that you can retrieve it to your desk computer when you return!
