Fighting Spam is like an endless battle these days! Spamhaus.org says: “Up to 80% of spam targeted at Internet users in North America and Europe is generated by a hard-core group of around 200 known professional spam gangs whose names, aliases and operations are documented in Spamhaus' Register Of Known Spam Operations (ROKSO) database.”
At Prima Design, we are constantly looking for ways to fight spam. Our server uses several layers of spam filtration but even that is not enough! The spammers spend their days looking for ways around the filters and they find it! It’s practically impossible to keep up with them... but you can help fight back. There are a few SPAM filter plug-ins that work with Outlook and Outlook Express that will help eliminate the spam you are receiving AND enable you to report the offenders with the click of a button! We ALL need to work together to fight the war on Spam. Maybe one day we’ll win! But for now, we can drastically reduce the amount of spam we are receiving by implementing some of the tools available to us.

Spam Assassin comes with every hosting package at Prima Design. You can “train” Spam Assassin to know what you consider spam. Though a bit of a butt pain at first, once you have trained Spam Assassin, you’re done... Depending on how much spam you get, this could take a week or maybe two. It needs to see 100-200 spam messages before it takes over. If you want to use the Spam Assassin training tool, let us know and we’ll send you your control panel instructions.
